Mrs. June Ava Jackson was a Lady of Influence.  She lived a life of Courage, Tenacity and Passion for Education.

Born and raised in New York City, she was faced with many obstacles and made many adult decisions as a child as she helped raise her younger siblings which led to her being a high school dropout.  However, her purpose in life fueled her dreams to accomplish many goals. She decided to make a life altering decision that allowed her to move to North Carolina.  She chose to further her education and enrolled into Richmond Technical College in Rockingham, NC and received her GED.  She was fortunate to begin her professional career . Serving others was her passion and she became a Certified Nursing Assistant, but she knew she desired more.  Soon after, she returned to school to become a Licensed Practical Nurse for 36 years.

Throughout this time she received many certificates and diplomas as a Pastor and Business Owner, and she returned to school once more. As a lifelong student she enrolled in to the University of NC- at Pembroke completing her Bachelors Degree in Sociology and thereafter enrolling into Gardner-Webb University to receive her Masters Degree in Pastoral Counseling.  She believed that EDUCATION was the vehicle to Success allowing a better quality of Life. She never wanted to take it for granted. As she continued schooling she assisted others financially to attend college for many years.

On October 10, 2016, June Ava Jackson died after a short battle of colon cancer.  It is our desire to continue her legacy by helping others attend college. It is my hope that you consider donating or becoming a sponsor to this cause.
